Labyrinth

I'M ONLY LOST UNTIL I SEE
I'M LOST BECAUSE I WANT TO BE

This poster is an illustrative exploration of the word "Labyrinth". I used imagery of a brain because what is more complex and intricate than the human mind? It begins with the word Labyrinth and continues with the definition. Try reading it yourself!

... Give up? The text reads: "Labyrinth - An intricate combination of paths or passages in which it is difficult to find ones way or to reach the exit." While I could have illustrated the text in a way that was much easier to read, I thought that, since this piece is more conceptual than technical (with less emphasis on legibility) the challenge it presents better reflects the idea of a "labyrinth". Like a maze, the reader has to follow a path to decipher a letter, then a word, in order to reach the end of the sentence. Under the illustration, I included an excerpt from the poem "Labyrinth" by W.H. Auden.
